Julian's 618i (before it was converted it to a 2.2VTEC)

Its difficult to know where to start describing Julian's car, he has done so much work on it!

The original car is a 618i Limited Edition, it left the factory almost as the picture above, 
except for the front fogs and Espace splitter.

Modifications at this stage were

SMC body kit (factory fitted)

17" Team Dynamics (factory fitted)

lowered via Apex springs on standard shocks (factory fitted)

Renault Espace front bumper splitter

Ti front brakes

Black Diamond combi brake discs all round

Black Diamond brake hoses all round

painted brake callipers

de-cat pipe and K&N panel air filter

electric rear windows

clear side indicators

cream leather interior (from 620GSDi, see other Rover 600's)

one off hand made top front strut brace

 

2.2 VTEC Engine conversion

A Honda Prelude 2.2 VTEC (a J reg Jap import) provided Julian with the 200bhp H22A Honda engine for the conversion.

 

h22a fully rebuilt by hand everything replaced and sprayed red lightened flywheel and balanced oem clutch balance shaft adaptor fitted to stop seal from coming out rebalanced crankshaft with new bearings head fully ported and polished by myself inlet manifold fully polished and mild porting by myself vortex throttle adapter fse with guage ARP head studs stainless bolts everywere on engine manifolds nuts bolts are aircraft grade as they handle extreme temp manifold fully wrapped in heat proof wrap aem fuel rail with custom fittings custom fuel line thanks to hampshire hose top people blitz air filter behind bumper induction pipes wrapped in heat proof wrap mugen manifold and down pipe modified to suit stealth exhaust stealth dual twin exit exhaust specially made thanks to simon at stealth exhausts

full goodridge overbraid on the water pipes with coloured hose ends one off power steering hose vafc2 vtec controller nos fitted but was never used speedo delimiter fitted tested by pacing against Ti

custom drive shafts mix and match from prelude and 600 greenstuff pads all round headlite washers rover 800 and honda accord
